PEACE had a general meeting on February 3rd, so members and nonmembers could come meet the new Board of Directors & Interns, learn about our accomplishments from last semester, and find out what we have in store for Spring 2016! It was a fun opportunity for everyone to meet one another and make new friends within the PEACE community.
If you couldn’t come to this meeting, there will be more in the future, so be on the lookout! Follow our Facebook page to keep updated. |
peace banquet: december 2015
PEACE hosted this banquet at the end of the Fall 2015 semester at Mount Everest Restaurant. It was a time where all the tutors, advisors, and officers got together to celebrate the end of an amazing semester, while also getting to partake in some mouth-watering Indian/Nepalese Cuisine. As you can see from the pictures, there was a great turnout, and the buffet meant that there was absolutely no shortage of food :). It was a night full of great company and laughs all around. Reflecting on the semester, it was amazing to see how much the club had grown since its initial inception. |
PEACE Kimchi GarDen Social: November 2015
The PEACE Officers had a great social at Kimchi Garden where they all got to devour some delicious meals while also sharing some great stories. It was truly a delight and allowed the officers to actually talk about their lives outside of PEACE 🙂 |
PEACE Social: OCtober 2015
Ain’t No Party like a PEACE Party! On October 2015, PEACE held a social for all of its members. Everyone was invited including the PEACE Officers, PEACE Officer Interns, PEACE Advisors, an PEACE Tutors. It was a great way for everyone to not only get to know one another, but also talk about how PEACE can grow to better address the needs of the student community at Cal. To top it all off, we had LOADS of amazing food, and a mixture of various games – including Super Smash Bros, and Cards Against Humanity. |
PEACE Calapalooza Tabling: September 2015
Spreading Our MessageWith our new group of officers and interns in hand, we set out to spread our message to all incoming students. We made personalized brochures that not only advertised our services, but also shared personal insights into how to better acclimate to the Berkeley environment. On the day of Calapalooza, we had officers and interns table for over 6 straight hours – which allowed us get over 100+ students to sign up for our services. Furthermore, this event also allowed the officers to see where the students needed more assistance; we took all this feedback into account as we planned the PEACE’s goals for the Fall 2015 semester. This event was truly a great way for PEACE to advertise all that it had to offer, and it set the bar extremely high for what we sought to accomplish.

PEACE Officer-Intern Retreat: August 2015
We started with a board of officers and interns that was excited and motivated to take PEACE to bigger heights. The retreat was a great way for everyone to meet one another and set goals for the upcoming semester. More importantly, it was also a great way for us to play fun games like Taboo! 🙂

PEACE Banquet: May 2015
The start of Something New!At the end of a long, hard semester, PEACE was excited to welcome in a group of new interns that would assist with carrying out new PEACE duties in the upcoming semester. The PEACE banquet was the first time that many of these interns met the officers and got to know what their position would entail. The event was a great way to bond over some amazing Indian food and got everyone geared up for an amazing semester ahead!

PEACE Calapalooza Tabling: Spring 2014
PEACE’s First outreach EffortThis was PEACE’s first Calapalooza as an official organization; it was a huge step forward for us because we were able to outreach to incoming students and show them what we had to offer. It was truly eye-opening to see how big of a difference we had the potential to make; more importantly, we loved the support that we attained from everyone and that encouraged us to take the organization to next level!
