So my roommates want to buy a printer and split the cost between the 3 of us but I’m kinda on the fence. Is it a good investment for the school year or would I be better off using the academic center?”
I would definitely recommend getting a printer in the room because it allows for more flexibility. Right now, it might be easy for you to think that you have most planning under control right now, but the fall semester can get really intense. And by intense, I mean that you’ll realize you need to print something at either 2-3 AM or maybe even 7 am in the morning. During those times, the service center isn’t open, and getting to print in the library is not the most ideal scenario. So, I’d def look into a printer. Also, I wouldn’t worry too much about the pricing. An average printer is around $60 and splitting between a double or triple will amount to $20/$30 a person.
