Bears that CARE is a violence prevention program via means of bystander intervention. We are a team of five peer educators and our role is to give workshops to many campus organizations, including the Greek system, about bystander intervention and sexual assault & consent, in order to reduce the risks of violence and create a safer community on campus. Some of the subjects can get very emotional when giving these workshops and it can be difficult to talk about issues of violence, especially when there are personal stories involved. However, if you are interested in helping alleviate campus violence and learning about how to become an active bystander, I strongly recommend applying for the position of peer educator.
