Nova Mentoring is a nonprofit organization that reaches out to youth with the help of enthusiastic college mentors. We not only help these kids with homework, but also host science and engineering projects each week. For mentors, there are a variety of benefits ranging from school credit, professional networking opportunities, and exciting socials.
Nova has already seen great success on the UC Berkeley campus this past year, and is looking to expand its outreach. We are looking for student leaders interested in mentoring. For those of you interested, please follow the links below for more information.
Personally, Nova has been an incredible journey. Being part of such a young and ambitious organization with such a genuine cause has allowed me to grow not only as worker (you get to really experience the challenges of starting up a business) but as a person as well. I have created some of my best friendships at Cal through Nova and strongly encourage everyone to try it out.
