The Hep B Project aims to educate, screen, and vaccinate the at-risk Asian and Pacific Islander (API) population for hepatitis B, a virus that can lead to liver cancer.

Our organization seeks to address this issue in Alameda County. We currently have a weekly clinic on Wednesday afternoons in Oakland staffed by volunteers that provides free screenings and vaccinations. Additionally, we outreach to the community by staffing tables at health fairs, giving presentations at community centers, and forming community partnerships with other existing health organizations. Students with an interest in public health, patient interaction, community outreach and/or speak a second language are highly encouraged to apply.
