AMSA promotes the education of a wide variety of topics on campus. It does this through didactic seminars with guest speakers, panels, workshops, and other student-associated activities. While in the club, I was brought awareness of sociopolitical issues that affect the medical landscape, and I believe this experience will translate into being a more mindful person in the future. I would recommend others to join as a basic introduction to experiences that one who plans to apply to medical school should think about.
