MEDLIFE stands for Medicine, Education, and Development to Low Income Families Everywhere. It is an organization that strives to help families achieve greater freedom from their constraining living conditions. We aim to empower families in rural communities to live healthier lives, and we do so by partnering with motivated volunteers who seek to make a differences in these families’ lives as well.

I joined this club because I wanted personally wanted to experience and see the living conditions of the people living in rural communities—in this case Peru. To me, there is a huge discrepancy between seeing people suffer from a pamphlet or on television and seeing people suffer directly in front of me. Through MEDLIFE, I have learned a lot about the Peruvian culture and history, its language, and how to best accommodate for them during my time spent helping them. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in serving a rural community to do it through MEDLIFE!
