Mainly, we host an Annual Egg Hunt and Learning Festival to bring Bay Area youth from under-resourced communities and low-performing schools onto a college campus to experience a day of fun and creativity. We also bring many health and education non-profits to our event to outreach to families and become that resource that these families may need. Because many families return annually, Eggster leaves an everlasting positive impression of higher education for many children.
Besides our main event, we host many volunteer opportunities throughout the year connected to our mission to further support Bay Area youth. We hold fundraiser events throughout the year and donate all our profits to two local children’s non-profits of our choice.
We’re also a relatively small club and have a vested interest in the personal, social and professional growth of all our members. We want everyone to have an opportunity to develop professional skills, whether that’s fundraising, marketing/outreach, event planning, design, website building or networking. For anyone who wants to further Eggster’s mission, we invite you into our club with open arms!
I’ve personally been in Eggster for almost three years and I want to pass on this awesome experience to anyone who’s willing! Please join us at our meetings in 242 Dwinelle from 7-8 PM, even if you’re mildly interested.
