LiNK stands for “Liberty in North Korea” and is the largest & only grassroots non-profit organization to actively aid in the rescue and rehabilitation of North Korean defectors. There are 331 “Rescue Teams” across the world and LiNK Berkeley Chapter is one of them. Our organization not only financially supports the North Korean people, but also heavily invests in re-framing the way the world thinks about North Korea by raising awareness on campus and in the Bay area. In a society that view North Korea as treacherous and malicious, many overlook the horrendous human rights abuses happening to the victims of North Korea’s genocide: the people themselves.
